If you are required to register your move, submit the notification within 14 days of starting to live at your new address. If the final day falls on a ward-office closure day, the deadline is the next opening day.
Submit your notification to the registration counter of Naka Ward Office’s Family Registry Division. Yokohama City Hall and administrative service corners do not accept these notifications.

If you are eligible for resident registration, submit a moving-in notification at Naka Ward Office’s Family Registry Division. Check the required residence and family documents before visiting.

Complete the moving-out procedure with your previous municipality, then register your move at Naka Ward Office. Check the applicable instructions if you used your My Number Card for the moving-out procedure.
Moving from another ward in Yokohama
Submit the moving-out and moving-in notifications together at Naka Ward Office. You do not need to submit a moving-out notification at your previous ward office.
Moving within Naka Ward
Submit a change-of-address notification at Naka Ward Office’s Family Registry Division, even when your new home is in the same ward.
Online procedures
For moves within Japan, eligible users can submit a moving-out notification and notify the new municipality of their planned visit through Mynaportal. You still need to complete the moving-in procedure at the new municipality’s counter. Check the official eligibility requirements.
